Long forgotten in a box in a dark corner, I guess the bottle is around 4 years old - Beautiful dark straw golden clear body; Extremely beautiful nose, very very deep and seductive, crisp mix of flinty pear, rose like perfume and and light green the; Light acid in intense yet super elegant an refined body, very mineral dry that extends very long into a fine fine finish where the acid intensifies into a almost bone dry light barrel harsh touch, which is perfectly well balanced with the very late warm pear juice aromas. Bottle from Oakchurch Farm Shop, Staunton on Wye, Herefordshire, consumed 04-10-09 Pours for all the world looking like a nice Sauvignon Blanc. Much like the aforementioned wine this was a rather crisp little number. Wine like in flavour, with just the merest hint of sweetness, really clean. Clear light light yellow colour with a small, virtually none, fair lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy pear, tart pear, horse blanket, wood and vinegar notes, paint notes. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light light acidic with a long duration, tart pear, thin, light acetic notes. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20110518]

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a pale yellow with a small white head. Sophisticated, tart nose with a little funk. Medium body, almost flat, vanilla and dry apple notes with a slight acetone touch. Very nice though. 250113

Bottle. Pale straw in colour, still. Aromas are crisp pear with vinegar and citrus. More pineapple than I would expect. Flavours are crisp and dry (not in the cooking oil sense). Light pear and white grape with puckering tart citrus. Acidic on the finish with light barnyard notes. Good.

From a polypin at the Bristol beer festival, 19/03/10. Pale, slightly hazy gold in colour. Tart aroma of pear juice. Flavour was dry, with some acidic fruit but enough juice to be refreshing. Good.
