Very dusty and barnyard like in the aroma. Some fresh fruit and hay are also apparent. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Flavour was well balanced between the acidic and sweet notes. Finish was properly the most dry experience that I have ever had with a cider. Some sweetness was also present in the finishing touch of this great cider. Well done! Boxed stillage @ Planet Thanet. The cider section here was excellent it must be said. This was another cracker. Dark golden colour. Plenty of vintage character. Slight sweetness in a maple syrup type way. Great palate. Very enjoyable cider. haddonsman (1234), Derby, Derbyshire, England

As damn fine as the Gwatkin perry I’d just tried; almost toffee-apple with its sticky sweetness, deep bodied, almost chewy but still the right side of tasty. Who needs beer when you’ve got ciders as good as this ;-) hughie (3054), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Dark golden with quite a promising sour, vinegary aroma. The taste, however, is excessively sweet and sticky, and this is the reason that this cider fails for me: there is only the slightest sourness and dryness. The sugary aftertaste is close to being unpleasant. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA

Softer fruitier aroma than the Trembletts I had alongside it. Deeper copper colour. Very cloudy. Fairly acidic, malic aroma. Sweet appley fruit, light apple and a touch of tannic aroma. Ncie wild character, dusty and musty. Flavour is quite lovely, soft and sweet, with a bit of clove and allspice notes sneaking in over the baked apple notes as well. Strong assertive tannic dryness. A bit fuller bodied than the Tremblett’s but the flavour is just slightly less appealing. Still, a tasty cider. GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland

Taste is similar, with a wee hint of sweetness to make it very very drinkable. JonMoore (1561), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England
