Ungstrup (14724), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 14, 2007 Bottled. A golden cider with no head. The aroma is acidic with strong notes of apples with a touch of wood. The flavor is a nice mixture of sweet and acidic with strong notes of apples. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 19, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Fresh and lightly tart apple nose. Full-bodied and sweetish with this typical English cider astringency - somewhat leathery. 120507 yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 29, 2007 CBF07 sample from bottle. Golden orange. Aroma is citric to sour. Very sweet to citric bitter flavour. Finish is rather sweet. Nope, again not my liking :( harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 18, 2008 Thanet Cider and Perry Fest 08. Voted cider of the festival by the judges. Nail varnish remover and stale cereal aroma. Nice sour juicy apple in mouth. Alchohol gives it some sweetness. It does get better. Good dry finish. Really quite good character. Good varnish complex aroma. Lovely flavours actually. Some sweetness. Pretty good. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Apr 9, 2007 A Mes rate:
Boxed stillage @ Planet Thanet. The cider section here was excellent it must be said. This was another cracker. Dark golden colour. Plenty of vintage character. Slight sweetness in a maple syrup type way. Great palate. Very enjoyable cider. thewolf (5623), Kolding, Denmark May 17, 2007 Updated: Dec 20, 2007Bottle @ CBF 2007. Pours a clear golden yellow. Aroma has lots of apples and a barn-like dustyness to it. Flavour is perfectly balanced between sour and sweet. A little smokyness as well as loads og woodyness as well. Comments: I can’t believe the difference between the bottle and the polypin. The latter, for which this rating stands, is as fresh as it gets, full-bodied, fleshy, juicy, soft-edged, perfumey and the list goes on. A delicate beast that is an archetypal English farmhouse cider. The best-selling cider at Middle Farm in bottle form.
hopscotch (5437), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 16, 2009 Cask... Murky amber cider with no head. Subtle aromas of apple, leather and distant smoke. Full-bodied and coarse with only a rumor of carbonation. Very sweet; red and yellow apple blend. Lengthy, lightly sweet finish that dries out entirely.
