Bottle. Poured a dark cloudy brown colour with a thin white head. The beer has a very malt aroma, fruit with a hint of caramel. The flavor is slightly bitter and fruity . Bitter finish. A strange beer.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MesandSim (7118) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2007
A Mes rate: 33cl bottle from Kris Wines Very cloudy orange amber with a effervescent off white head, Soapy aroma with some sweet malt and yeast and slight orange. Yeasty and soapy flavour too. Reasonably bready, the rye shows through pretty well with some farily clear rosemary hints. Slightly dusty and odd in the finish. Quite prickly in the palate, I’m guessing that has something to do with the rye.. Fairly interesting and drinkable.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dorqui (1768) - Brescia, ITALY - SEP 14, 2007
Bottled 0,33L. Beautiful burnt red color lightly brownish, full bodied and with good fizz. Creamy head of short duration. Aged aroma with stum notes, light braced malt and wine cellar. Definite, harmonious and decidedly prickly and lively taste. Pleasant rumors of roast malt and smoked tip with wood notes and barrel. A lot balanced bitter and alcohol content.

33cl bottle: poured deep dark copper with a medium sized beige head. Malt and fruit aroma. Some sourness. Flavor is light malt and and a touch of fruit. Pretty lacking in both. Easy drinking but not really flavorful.

From bottle at Le Sous-Bock, Paris. Amber with a small but persistent head. Fruity caramel aroma. Fruity flavours, some sour berries blending with toffee towards the finish. Medium to light body. A good French beer.

33cl bottle from a six-pack of Breton beers at Carrefour. A slightly hazy red chestnut colour with a small white head; full fruity flavour, with a biscuit aftertaste that doesn’t really develop. Disappointing.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 DruncanVeasey (6114) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 6, 2007
Deep, hazy, almost pinkish pour with persistent creamy head. Enticingly sweet malty snout with a hint of (beet)rootiness? Ridiculously velvety mouthfeel. Sweet, smooth and slightly woody with some deliciously smoky, cigar-like afters. Creamily lovely.
