This beer is an India Pale Ale with a long bitter finish. Made with only Maris Otter malt, the strong grapefruit, orange and floral notes from Cascade, Amarillo and Chinook hops are allowed to shine through.

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 22 Apr 2015) Hazy pale amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit and floral hops. Malty, hoppy taste with citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, biscuits and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Fresh and tasty. Nice one.

660ml. A small white head compared to other Gyle beers . Nose of grass , caramel, spice ; Flavours showcase chewy grassy hops , light bitterness , notes of treacly caramel . Peachy notes somewhere too. This beer suffers from rich hop over-bite . lacking dryness as a redemption .

Bottle at ChrisOs. It pours clear gold with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, zesty citrus, lemon verbena and light floral notes. The taste is crisp, bitter, lemon rind, grassy, grainy, pine, grapefruit and pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty dry all in all. OK, but pretty forgettable.
