This is a Saison. It has its roots in a long tradition of Belgian farmhouse ales. The mixture of Pale and Vienna malts combine with three different English and German hops to perfectly compliment the earthy, peppery and spicy yeast flavours.

Pours quite a murky/hazy golden colour with a white head. It smells mostly of yeast and the taste is slightly tart.

Gravity cask at the Cambridge Winter Ales Festival 2015. Orange-gold, cloudy and fairly flat. Aroma of yeast, spice, with a bit of herb and pepper. Mostly sweet taste with a bitter finish. Massive spicy/bready hits. Aftertaste is a bit too bitter for my liking. Other than that it is an impressive beer for this ABV.

Backlog rating. Cask at The Gun Docklands, part of Spring Haze Beer Fest, London. It pours a hazy straw color with a medium white head. Aroma is yeasty and crispy, with notes of black pepper, bread dough, citrus peel and grass. Taste is crispy and yeasty, with a nice clean lemony finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, ok saison

500ml bottle. Poors cloudy and appealing orange with plenty of head that hangs around. Flavour is somwhere between lemon and orange with a hint of banana. The banana develops to an ether taste which gives a great dry finish. A really enjoyable saison.

Bottle courtesy of Peter Fowler, Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon, (cheers Peter!) consumed at home Thursday 10th July 2014 Hazy gold with a white head, soft carbonation, nice slightly tingly aroma, a streaky citrus vein. This is a slow burner a beer that creeps up on you, it gets better, I like it, in fact I rather like this brewery. A very pleasant interpretation of a saison. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Cask at The Stapleton Arms, Buckhorn Weston; light orangey-yellow beer with a delicate white head; yeasty aroma; taste is restrained citrus: orange, some lemon; yeasty; very dry; soft yet vibrant, refreshing and neckable; my first cask conditioned saison and it worked a treat.

Cask conditioned at Egham Beer Festival #17. Cloudy gold with white head. I was looking forward to trying this, the yeastiness seemed to be about right to me, slightly miffed yeast!! rather than wild, there is a slight, tarty lemon note, but there is also a hint of diesel from somewhere, chemical. Certainly worth a try.
