Light grassy and light cardboardish aroma. Flavour is dry malty, light spiced and with a light cardboardish note. Growing bitterness and dry finish. Emil (6077), Copenhagen, Denmark Mar 27, 2008 Bottle. A golden beer with a big white head. The aroma and taste is sweet malty and of grass, caramel and some hops. Medium body with a sweet grassy finish. Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 25, 2006 Midway between straw and gold. Fading hoppiness (slightly past its BB date) leaves more room for the tight malts to express their gently biscuity and not overly sweet character. Not as complex as Klosterbrau’s maibock, but also a bit drier and similar in mouthfeel. Fruity, toasty, buttery, gently honeyed, this one is just as softly carbonated with very small bubbles that pick on the tastebuds gently.
