Jan 22, 2005 A dark amber beer with a small disappearing light brown head. The aroma is very sweet and very malty besides notes of caramel, brewmash, straw, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel as well as hints of roasted malt and hops. The end is bitter and dry.

If the name make you expect a bitter beer, you’ll be surprised as this has no more bitterness than your average German pilsener. Has some wheat malt thrown in also. Style wise this is very unusual for Germany. 090300

May 30, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours beautiful cobber, filtered, huge creamy/crispy head. Aroma of bitter hops, a vague fruit note and malt. Flavour is nice malty sweet and distinct bitter. Very well balanced. Bitter dry finish.
