Ungstrup (11408), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 22, 2005 A dark amber beer with a small disappearing light brown head. The aroma is very sweet and very malty besides notes of caramel, brewmash, straw, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel as well as hints of roasted malt and hops. The end is bitter and dry. Papsoe (10580), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 26, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber coloured beer with a fine head. A bit sweetish malt on a solid body. If the name make you expect a bitter beer, you’ll be surprised as this has no more bitterness than your average German pilsener. Has some wheat malt thrown in also. Style wise this is very unusual for Germany. 090300 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 25, 2000 Resembles an altbier, with a fair bit of bitterness but no shortage of malt, and some spicy, yeasty notes as
