Bottle in Berlin, and what a nice bottle too: the flip top made an earshattering POP when flipped. Pours with lots of carbonation, but the head settles down into afairly loose head. A deep ruby red coloured body. Very dry, lots of hops and some limey citrus. Its like drinking a German version of a bitter, but served cold. Very light & refreshing with a long finish holding some sweet notes.

Jul 19, 2008 Bottle. Bronze and surprisingly bitter. Very clear with no carbonation and some traces of citrus. Reminded me of a premium bitter. Pleasant.

Jun 30, 2008 500ml bottle: poured clear orange. The head is beige and small. Very little aroma- just slight hops and a tad bit of orange perhaps. Flavor is pretty short as well. Just a bit of hops, slight citrus. Herbal notes with a light sweetness turning into a mildly sour finish. Decent.

May 10, 2008 Bottle. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, hop, malt. Flavour is caramel, malt, fruit. medium body. Ordinary beer.

Mar 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours a nice amber, lightly carbonated, clear body, with a medium-sized beige head leaving nice lacings. Disappointingly weak on the nose, with a toffee-sweet, fruity aroma. The flavor is a bit more on the fruity side, but there’s caramel sweetness too, and a good, lager-ish bitterness. Medium, slighlty effervescent mouthfeel. Short bready, caramel and slightly fruity finish with a decent bitterness. Quite nice, but for an amber ale, it’s disappointly boring. Or maybe I’m just missing the american hops. Anyway, it’s sure a drinkable beer. (080330)
