JorisPPattyn (4227), Antwerpen, Belgium Jun 23, 2006 Deep gold with slow big bubbles, not able to prevent the whitish head to disappear fast. Sweet & grainy nose; some ’other’ sweetness - maybe cornsyrup? Watery taste with a background sweetness that is clearly artificial. Very fizzy - aiding th bit falsely refreshing qualities. Well - I think children should learn to drink tafelbier (table beer) - but this is coloured mineral water. Papsoe (9656), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 2, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Jeez, this is the first time I’ve seen a brewery claiming their beer to be "multi-grain" (meergranen) when the only extra grain apart from barley is...corn!! Very inventive and amusing indeed. Dark golden - bit weird colour actually - very clear. Basically no head, but what’s there still manages to lace my glass. Faint maltiness in the nose - and then nothing. Absolutely nothing: no body, no bitterness, no malt. Perhaps I do detect a small artificial sweetness from the added saccharine. But quenching indeed - just like water is....
