Bottle… Pours pitch black with a large, fluffy, well-tanned head. Excellent, slowly receding, creamy retention. Nice cocoa aroma intermingled with lots of earthiness, woodiness, some funkiness and vinous notes. Full-bodied with buzzing carbonation. The flavor offers interwoven mocha, moderate dark malt sweetness, moderate to medium black malt and hop bitterness, mild earthiness and a whisper of acidity. Moderately bitter mocha finish.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of wood, and lacto bassilicus. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, wood, lacto, brett, and soy sauce, leading to a dry roasted and lacto finish. If you like sour, you like this. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an opaque black with a tiny, rough off-white head. Interesting lactic nose, some rotten plums also. Medium body, hard roasted malts, loads and loads of lacto - close to acetone. Hardly any bitterness in the finish but rather sour. This probably is off, but in a lovely fashion. 080210

Bottle at home .... really not sure about this ... deep black ... thin lacing ... funky sour nose ... is this barrel ageing or has it turned ... again a short sourness... almost lambic like rather that a porter ...some red wine tones ... not really working for me...
