In this classic wheat beer we use our own unique wheat yeast. This is a very refreshing beer with flavors of spice and citrus, a perfect summer beer.

Bottle from Meny. Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Fruity aroma with yeast, light citrus and spices. Sweet, fruity and refreshing, easy to drink.

I found this to be a very respectable Hefeweizen. When compared to the big guns, I found it held up quite well. It looks, smells and tastes like a Hefeweizen, what more do you want?

A fine, if somewhat bland experience. However, if i had this on a warm summer day, the experience would probably have been more favourable. HaandBryggeriet delivers time and time again, so some higher marks comes from that. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mostly sweet, but a bit of bitterness as well. Aromas include banana and wheat and yeast, medium bodied. Golden beer with a small white head. (Bottle)

Bottle. Pours a small with little retention. After 2-3 min it’s gone. Not as much carbonated as I expected. Hazy golden color. Smells like a typical wheat bear. Tastes like a regular wheat beer. This is a good wheat beer for being sold in the grocery store. But it’s nothing more or less than a regular wheat beer. Tastes of citrus, grass, coriander and a little candi sugar. Light to medium in body. Low in bitterness. A good thirst quencher on a warm day.

Bottle from Fenaknoken, Oslo. Hazy light orange body, medium white head. Aroma is bananas, caramel, pale malts and hints of clove. Taste is sweet pale malts, banana and hints of clove and wheat. Low on citrus IMO. A bit thin and not too exciting, but definitely drinkable for a grocery store-level Norwegian beer.

0.5l bottle #386 from Meny Grønland, Oslo. This one pours a deeply clouded dark orangish body with a small bubbly off-white head. The aroma is light yeasty with spicy cloves, a nice banana-sweetness and some tones of freshly cut grass. The carbonation level is surprisingly low and the mouthfeel is watery to slick. Flavors are not as sweet as the aroma, nice tones of cloves lurking behind a light yeasty and cellar-ish carpet. Ends lightly dry with some lightly burned and oxidation hints with caramel, bitter orange zest and cardboard. Not sure if it was quite supposed to taste like this fresh but this is not horrible at all. Still, I definitely prefer the big brother, Bawarian Weizen.

Pours orange, unclear. Medium head. Fizzy, and disappears quickly. Not that much carbonation left afterward. Nose: Banana, yeast and citrus. Similar aroma. Not that sweet for a weizen, actually got some sour and bitter notes.
