I found this to be a very respectable Hefeweizen. When compared to the big guns, I found it held up quite well. It looks, smells and tastes like a Hefeweizen, what more do you want?

A fine, if somewhat bland experience. However, if i had this on a warm summer day, the experience would probably have been more favourable. HaandBryggeriet delivers time and time again, so some higher marks comes from that. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mostly sweet, but a bit of bitterness as well. Aromas include banana and wheat and yeast, medium bodied. Golden beer with a small white head. (Bottle)

UPDATED: FEB 29, 2012 Bottle. Hazy light orange colour with a white head. Some banana and caramel aroma. More bitterness than sweetness in the flavour, mixed with citrus and banana. For a normal norwegian grocery store beer, this one is very good!

Bottle. Pours a small with little retention. After 2-3 min it’s gone. Not as much carbonated as I expected. Hazy golden color. Smells like a typical wheat bear. Tastes like a regular wheat beer. This is a good wheat beer for being sold in the grocery store. But it’s nothing more or less than a regular wheat beer. Tastes of citrus, grass, coriander and a little candi sugar. Light to medium in body. Low in bitterness. A good thirst quencher on a warm day.

Bottle from Fenaknoken, Oslo. Hazy light orange body, medium white head. Aroma is bananas, caramel, pale malts and hints of clove. Taste is sweet pale malts, banana and hints of clove and wheat. Low on citrus IMO. A bit thin and not too exciting, but definitely drinkable for a grocery store-level Norwegian beer.
