2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ungstrup (23984) - Oamaru, - AUG 16, 2005
A slightly hazy orange beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet yeasty and wheaty, and so is the flavor. The end is dry wheaty. Thanks to Haandbryggeriet for supplying this for RBESG.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 magdalar (476) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - MAR 10, 2012
Courtesy of Erzbierschof. 50cl bottle, bottled 2010, a month from expiry.
Pours a cloudy yellow with visible chunks of brown yeast, and a white head; a gusher.
Smells of banana, clove, citrus peel, and yeast.
Tastes sweet, with a mild tang, and a bit like some cookies.
Texture is creamy smooth, with a medium body, and soft-but-active carbonation.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Stew41 (1460) - Woodend, AUSTRALIA - DEC 17, 2011
I thought this carried a surprising amount of palate weight despite the relatively modest 5.5%. Plenty of spice and aniseed wrapped up in a thick flavour profile. Finish is really quite bitter and almost tangy.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Cunningham (1946) - Halden, NORWAY - OCT 27, 2011
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2012 Bottle from Vinmonopolet i Halden. Light hazy dark golden colour with a white head. Sweet aroma with a hint of usual banana, but also some spices. Sweet and floral flavour with some light banana notes.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ComradeK (530) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - OCT 21, 2011
500ml bottle. Pours a clear medium gold, with a small, loose white head, which fades rapidly and leaves no lace. The aroma is pretty stock-standard weizen - estery banana and some cloves. To taste it is a little sour initially, moving into a sweet and slightly bland body. The finish is a little cloying, but with some pleasant musk notes to redeem it. This is a fairly average weizen, nothing more.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JanLaursen (1121) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 9, 2011
Surprisingly dark in color, almost amber with a quickly vanishing off-white head. Citrus-like aroma with notes of orange, lemon and peach and ripe banana and a little seasoning. Semi-sweet malt base, but dry and wheaty finish. Lively carbonation. It’s odd that the name of the beer is German, as it tastes and smells almost Belgian, with a funky norwegian twist. I quite like it.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 esp0r (803) - NORWAY - MAY 29, 2011
Tap at Amundsen. Orange hazy, thick white head. Smells of citrus, banana and yeasts. Body is maybe a bit too malty but has good sweetness/acid balance. Finish is not very hoppy. A good weizen that also will work as a good thirst killer

Erfrischend fruchtiger Antrunk mit spritzuger Gefe. Vollmundig, die Bananigkeit ist angenehm herb. Später dezent bitter, weiter vollmundig und ausgewogen. Gut! 10/11/12/11//11
