This is a strong hearty festival beer for those good relaxing moments when you are cuddling up in front of a roaring fire feeling the warmth from both beer and flames.

Bottle 50cl. Brown head diminishing. Clear dark brown oaky color. Aroma is a package plus. Coffee, heated sugar, wood, dark chocolate, berries, licorice, rum cake and so on. Taste is less and not up there like aroma. Raisins, berries, sugar and cookies. Flavoured with coffee and chocolate.

Bottle from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This almost looks like a porter with that deep dark color. It also has a nice tan head. The aroma is sour fruit with lesser brown sugar. This is definitely a winter warmer. All kinds of flavors that you would expect in such a beer. Spices, big malts, big alcohol, raisins, and at the finish I taste coconut. No idea where that came from. Also the distinctive yeast and water from this brewer. I like this beer and on a very cold early February day it feels pretty good.

Bottle (500 ml). Dark brown with a medium mostly lasting beige head and some lacing. Aroma is of smoke, roasted malt, spices, dark fruits and caramel. Taste is slightly to moderately sweet with roasted malt, caramel, spices, smoke, dark fruits, earthy notes, liquorice and light acidic presence. Light warming finish. Medium body. Good carbonation. Nice balance considering everything that is going on in this beer. Interesting warming presence despite not being too heacy on alcohol. I enjoyed it.

I like this beer and its gentler cousin Nissefar because they demand more thought than simply shoving them into a BJCP style category and moving on. Chocolate, dark fruit, roast, char and spice meld nicely into a bouquet of awesome which hits you just before the alcohol smacks you a bit.

Bottled - dark pour with red brown tinges, fairly heady. Lots of chocolate malts and coffee but not overpoweringly so. Some breadiness and yeast - very complex and good.

Slow gusher, as it allways has been the few times I’ve had it. Big fizzy longlasting head. Aroma is co2, dark malts, burnt coffee, yeast, banana, something undescribable fruityness in the direction of Amarula liqueur maybe. Taste is dark malts, sour coffee, caramel, wet roasted grain, soil, grass, hay. Medium bitterness, watery mouthfeel, high carbonation as usual. Never been a very big fan of this one, as it’s always been overcarbonated every year.

Color caoba oscuro con espuma beige. Aromas tostados, masa fresca, levadura y ligero licor. En boca muestra un dulzor tostado de inicio con notas de frutas confitadas y acaba con un armagor equilibrado e igualmente tostado al que acompaña una agradable calidez. Muy rica.
