3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Palme (2250) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 22, 2013
From a 0.5l bottle shared with Inbreak @ Grunerløkka Brygghus. Lots of grey big sediments laying under a blueberry red cloudy body. The lacing top is small and light pinkish. Fruity aroma, some gooseberries, grass and ripe peaches. Not extreme but present. Soft to average on the carbonation and soft oily on the mouthfeel. Not to much things going on in the taste to be honest. Soft purple berries, a hint of acidity, white sugar and it just feels watery. Lacking something this, but its a fine lightdrinkable one. 02.03.2013
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 jackl (2587) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 19, 2013
Bottle @ Den Norsk Landhandel, the Norweigan bottle shop near Mikkeller Viktoriagade. The pour’s hazy purple brown with a small off-white head. The nose is really jammy dirty blackberry and blueberry mash. Wonderfully earthy and fresh. The taste is more meaty dark fruits. Loads of blueberry. Light citric tartness, a bit of toasty wood. Simple, but flavorful. Pretty flat carbonation, moderately still. Overall, quite refreshing. Worth a try.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 tfredvik (630) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 19, 2013
BLARGH! WTF? What’s wrong with this beer? It absolutely stinks! Rotten fruits and berries, sulphurous farts and funky notes in the back! In the glass it looks dark brown to red, with a small, frothy head consisting of big bubbles that quite quickly disappear and don’t leave much lacing. The taste is initially light sour with a touch of sweetness, the sourness grows in the finish, which also has acidic elements and an enduring light sweetness that perfectly backs up the tartness. I wonder if there’s also a very light bitter resinous thing in the aftertaste? The flavours are quite strong with leather, funk, wood and acidic overripe fruits and berries. I like to believe that I got some vague notes of blueberries in the finish. After I’ve tasted the beer I sort of manage to decipher the aroma, and it doesn’t feel as horrible as my first impression, and I’ll need to bump the Aroma rating up a notch. The mouthfeel is demanding but absolutely pleasant. The body is medium, the texture is try and the carbonation is moderate.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Leighton (6956) - London, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2013
Bottle at Bruce’s, London. Thanks to Ken. Pours cloudy ruby with a moderate, bubbly foam head. Herbs and berries on the nose, mild funk. Light sweet flavor with bracing sourness, fresh berries, mild vinegar, hints of sweat. Light bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Sharp sour berries to finish, some acetic bite, blueberry, raspberry, mild funk. Good one.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 tmrmwel (510) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 9, 2013
Bottle, brewed 23.08.11. Pours dark mahogany, with almost no head whatsoever save some big airy bubbles. Aroma is yeast and balsamic vinegar, with notes of oak as well as lots of berries and fruit. Body is creamy, with a soft carbonation. Flavour is sour with balsamic vinegar, oak and some earthy notes, as well as sour fruity notes of rhubarb and red currants. Still it feels a bit insipid. Finishes of with a long astringent fruitiness.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Rune (6125) - Tromsø, NORWAY - APR 22, 2013
500ml bottle shared with Stefan & Elisabeth at Vertshuset Skarven. A few bubbles at the top, and a few dotted spots to the glassware. Dark brown body with shades of red and blue. Unclear. Modest yeasty dry smell with a touch of tartness. Tart and dry berries to the taste buds. Yeasty backbone. Lingering dry ending. Vinous impression. Clean and quite refreshing, however, it is not quite my kind of beer, yet (Tromsø, 20.04.2013).

Bottle from Mane Liquor. First Lambic so wasn’t sure what to expect. Pours a murky blue/brown colour. 1cm of disappearing head and a little lacing. Obvious blueberry aroma with funky yeast notes, almost kind of earthy/barnyard smelling. Taste is quite sour with wood and blueberry flavours really dominating. Enjoyable beer, one to tick off the list.
