3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle. Pours a hazy deep ruby, with a small off-white head, which neither last very well nor leaves much lacing. Woody, musty, sour and blueberry notes make up the aroma. Fruity sourness up front leads into tart apple skin. A touch of blueberry comes in leading through into the mid-palate, which has some dusty, woody sour notes. Sour blueberry comes in at the finish. The blueberry is not a particularly strong feature of this beer. It’s there, but it certainly doesn’t dominate it. All in all this is quite a nice sour ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml bottle shared by b3shine. Pours a dark reddish copper color with no head and quite a few floaties. The aroma and flavor have a strong acidity, tartberrries, dark fruit, lactic, a splash of caramel, wood, earth. I wish there was more berry fruitiness to cut the acidity more.

1.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottled: 21NOV12 (13 months maturation)
Pours a murky brown, cherry hued ale with a scattered, weak map of light pink foam. Smells mostly of burnt plastic, then some oak, some acidity...If I just breath in with my mouth there is a hint of blueberries, some vanilla oakiness. Damn the nose is really like a brand new blow up intertube plastic. The flavor follows the same trend: freshly pressed intertube, plenty tart with some acetic tendencies, but not that tart. Medium on thin with hi carb and a thickly viscous finish (my saliva is making this). Not sure I’m going to finish the bottle.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Dark caramel, bit of a deep red hue, dirty, thin sudsy off-white head, sparce lacing.   Bright nose, woody, faint blueberry.   Acidic up front, dry, sour, woody, with a bit of a prunish background.   Faint berry, prunes dominate.   Slight metallic note on the backside, like icicles off a tin roof.   Average body and mouthfeel.   Dry finish, acidic, dull wood notes, faint berry and prune at this point.   Simple, but overly acidic.   Wished the metallic notes weren’t there, and that it were a bit more blueberry.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. It pours an unclear, murky body, amber to brown in color and with a small, beige head on top. The aroma has vinegar, berry notes and barnyard. Quite pleasant actually, and that goes for the flavor too. Berries, vinegar and funky barnyard notes. Some maltyness in the far back. Medium to full body, dry. Overall, not an impressive beer, it lacks a bit on complexity, but it’s tasteful and pleasant anyway. 130111

10/VIII/13 - 50cl bottle @ RBBSG II, my place - bottled: 21/XI/12 - brewed: 23/VIII/11 (2013-739) Thanks to BelgBeerGeek for sharing the bottle!
Clear red brown beer, little stable, off-white head, non adhesive. Aroma: sour, earthy, tobacco, sour cherries, bit of vinegar. Not too bad, can’t tell the blueberries though. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sour, vinegar, bit fruity, blackberries and blueberries, citric. Aftertaste: very sour, citric, vinegar, sour burning the throat, bit dirty. Could’ve been more balanced, don’t like the vinegar acidity too much. Other than that, a very drinkable foreign sour.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, brewdate 2011-08-11, bottle date 2012-11-21. Reddish chestnut brown with a small white head. Lactic sour, light black/red berry notes, light wood. Not much complexity and seems a bit muddled, but pleasant taste. Keep at it, Haandbryggeriet, you will prevail.
