Blondie is a Belgian style ale fermented with our own house yeast. The color is straw yellow with a nice fruity flavour balanced with maltiness and floral hops. A nice beer with good drinkability.

Editor’s note: First brewed late 2011, first sold in 2012.

Large white head over clear pale golden beer. Medium plus aroma intensity of sound malt and citrus and mature fruitiness, little hops on nose. Good freshness on the attack, well-carbonated and medium minus bodied, flows well, though the bitterness is a little coarse. It works but makes it a little less impressive. It hoilds a decent midpalate and a medium finish, not aided too much by the monotonous hoppiness. I prefer the more floral HB Ardenne blonde but this has its role to play.

@basunen: mycket trevlig doft med tydliga belgiska toner. Smaken är lätt men trevlig frisk och lättdrucken. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours an almost clear straw yellow, with only a slight haziness from the yeast, and looks very carbonated, as there are tons of bubbles streaming up all throughout the glass. A big white head forms nicely, and dissipates slowly, and leaves a nice lacing. The aromas are fruity, with citrus fruits being the most prominent; and the malts impart a mild aroma of cereals and very lightly toasted grains; additionally, there’s an ever so slight hint of cloves in the aftertaste. The taste is tart like grapefruits, and with a slight sweetness to it as well. The mouthfeel is a lot heavier than one would expect from a beer this light, and is partially due to the apparent soft carbonation. This beer has a refreshing taste and aroma, but the mouthfeel is a bit of a downer.

Bottle (Amundsen, Oslo). Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light to medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers), lightly to moderately yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of pepper, lemon zest, gum. Another winner from Haand...very authentic/Belgian and wonderfully balanced. Not even very fresh (brewed Mar 2013) but still quite vibrant and crisp. One reason to move to Drammen.

50cl bottle, batch 581, brewed 6th March 2013, 4.5% abv. Bought at Eurospar Langnes, Tromsø. Huge off-white head which falls on the hazy grassy body, leaves some fluffy lacings. Scents of sweet wheat, honey, some lemon or orange, grass, yeast, hops. Tastes wheat malts, grains, lemon, pine, yeast, dough, roasted caramels, some hints of combusted toast. A final with underlying bitterness, roasted caramels, spruce or pine, herby and nice. Fresh, fruity, gentle bitter.
