COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blondie is a Belgian style ale fermented with our own house yeast. The color is straw yellow with a nice fruity flavour balanced with maltiness and floral hops. A nice beer with good drinkability.

Editor’s note: First brewed late 2011, first sold in 2012.

Pours an almost clear straw yellow, with only a slight haziness from the yeast, and looks very carbonated, as there are tons of bubbles streaming up all throughout the glass. A big white head forms nicely, and dissipates slowly, and leaves a nice lacing. The aromas are fruity, with citrus fruits being the most prominent; and the malts impart a mild aroma of cereals and very lightly toasted grains; additionally, there’s an ever so slight hint of cloves in the aftertaste. The taste is tart like grapefruits, and with a slight sweetness to it as well. The mouthfeel is a lot heavier than one would expect from a beer this light, and is partially due to the apparent soft carbonation. This beer has a refreshing taste and aroma, but the mouthfeel is a bit of a downer.

0.5l bottle from the local shop. Pours hazy pale golden, with off-white head. Aromas of bananas, malt, biscuits, a bit spicy. Tastes very crisp and refreshing. Not very complex on the palate, and medium finish. But it’s well balanced, and this is a good choice on a hot summer day. I prefer this over any standard lagers.

My Bottom Line:
There is plenty of hay and flowers dallying atop this Belgian-style Ale’s dry, crisp mouthfeel, evolving into herbal hop bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sticky head of foam is laid out atop the pale golden haze.
-Mild banana esters are felt underneath.
-An earthy finish with a rustic touch seems to be the combined work of hops and yeast.
-The mouthfeel is balanced throughout.
-These guys brew really flavorful non-Vinmonopolet (under 4.8%) brews.

Bottle.
