500ml bottle pours a dark brown color with a 2 finger light beige head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark chocolate and coffee with some interesting hop notes. Taste is a dark chocolate malty sweetness with some coffee and hop bitterness. Medium bodied with some nice carbonation leaving a good prickle on the tongue. Flavors are nicely balanced making this a world class brew and is highly recommended.

Nice porter with strong coffee notes and a surprising acidity to it’s aroma that reminds me of chili. I loved that bit. Nice thick head and a good medium length aftertaste. I liked it a lot. Should have some nice food affinities in this.

@ Basunen: Mycket god kaffedoft - lite åt sumphållet. Trevlig smak av kaffe men vätskan är något tunn. Lång trevlig eftersmak,

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Foco. Pours a black appearance and a creamy brown head. Very rich, roasty coffee aroma with nice acidic fruity notes in addition to dark chocolate, vanilla, and a shit load of roastiness. Creamy, milky, rich burnt coffee, vanilla, milk chocolate flavor. Tastes a bit thin but overall pretty tasty.

Pours dark with thick tan head that disappears quickly, some light lace. Aroma is spent coffee grains, chocolate. Taste black coffee, roasted, chocolate. Thick and oily with a long dry and sticky black coffee finish

500 ml. bottle. Pours an enormous well retained, beige head, over a brown black (SRM 35) body......nose is coffee, cocoa, with dusty tones, hints of toffee/caramel.....taste is light coffee, chocolate, light toffee/caramel, with dried fruit (raisin, fig) sweetness, finishing with light bitterness, with hints of green pepper......mouth feel medium, carbonation low. This is a pleasant beer. It has a high ABV for a Brown Porter, does not have the hop bitterness of a Robust Porter, and is somewhat sweet. This leaves a Baltic Porter for the style, which it meets quite well. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7

Bottle. Deep, dark brown in color with a rather large and tightly packed khaki head. Looks pretty nice. Sweet aroma with chocolate, toffee, some light roast coffee. Pretty nice, but this is a bit sweeter than I’d like. Taste is chocolate, some raisins, dark cherries, and maybe a touch of coffee. Not what I was expecting from this beer. A bit thin bodied, but otherwise this is okay. I feel my tastes have changed quite a bit over the last couple of years. Dark beers were something that I loved, but lately I’ve been struggling to finish even small amounts of them.
