Colour is deep dark brown to black. Hazy. The head is beige and big, but disapears and stays as a thin layer for a while. The Aroma is dominated by roasty coffee and chocolate. The taste reflects the aromas with sweet and dark chocolate. Ends with medium bitternes along with a coffee. A really good beer on a dark autumn night.

Bottle enjoyed at home
Pours dark brown, black in glass, leaves a head that is massive but with large ugly bubbles. What a shame. Aroma of coffee, smoke, tar and what i like to call yeast esters from HB’s house yeast. I think i can find that same aroma from Hesjeøl, Norwegian Wood and Dobbel Dose at least. Taste has lots of actual coffee as expected, i also find coffe flavors from the roasted malts. Good malt body with nice amounts of sweetness. Also some tar and smoke. Nice oily feel that’s finished off with a nice coffee bitterness
Also a celebration of my rate nr #500

Bottle (50cl) from Vinmonopolet (Vika), Oslo. Inch-thick light brown head, good retention - leaves some flame-shaped lacing. Opaque, dark brown colour. Aroma of raw coffee beans, coffee candy, cola, roasted malt, licorice. Taste is surprisingly fruity, providing a nice and modestly sweet counterweight against the woody dryness of the malt/coffee/licorice. Body is medium, carbonation is soft. Very enjoyable.
