500ml bottle. Hazy, very dark brown colour and a medium brown head. Notes of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt in the aroma. Moderately sweet and bitter taste. The beer is medium-bodied with a quite oily texture and soft carbonation. I’ve tried better porters.

A Decent Porter. Pours a shit brown. Aromas of smoky meat and coffee. Similar flavors. Not bad.

Bottle from Liberty Wine Merchants on The Drive in Vancouver. A black beer with moderate tan head. Coffee and chocolate overtones throughout. A bit sweet about mid-palate, but with a dry finish. Great!

Bottle. Pours dark brown with small head. Nose is chocolate, coffee, berry. Flavour is the same... chocolate is fairly bitter, coffee isn’t anything special. Finish is coffee. Viscous. The "chocolate-coffee milkshake" variety of beer, which can be good, but in this case wasn’t my favourite.

500mL bottle, 18/4/12. Pours opaque brown-black with a thin, short lived tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, heavily roasted coffee and stale tobacco smoke. Primarily roast malt in the flavour, a little chocolate, not much coffee, mild sweetness, slightly acidic, a little metallic bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation, creamy with a lingering burnt sweetness.

Bottle from Belmont Station, Portland. Pours a dark color, good amount of tan head. Aroma roasty, coffee, clean. Body light, lively, crisp, much like a traditional English style porter, but a good amount of coffee. Not amazing, but not bad, either.

From a 500ml bottle (shared by Butz - thanks). Has a huge coffee aroma with a good dash of brown sugar and some caramel. All the aforementioned features in the flavour as well. This a coffee bomb, with sweet mocha overtones and just a hint of dark fruit. The bitterness is moderate, the body medium, and the carbonation subdued. Really easy to drink and packed with flavour. If you’re into coffee, this is a must try. One of the best I’ve had from this brewery.
