Black pour with a huge, chunky tan head that stays huge for an annoyingly long time and leaves some good lacing. The foam just sitting there mocking me forever, keeping me from drinking lost a tick. Aroma of coffee, roast, roast nuts, dark chocolate, a decent amount of char, light smoke and earthy pine notes. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, roast, char, smoke and some of what seems like lactic acidity, light metallic and mineral notes, toast, earthy dark fruit and pine. The flavor is a bit hard to nail down because even though the bottle foamed over a bit on opening and the head exploded even with a fairly gently pour this stuff is still extremely over carbonated. With some waiting and swirling in the glass the carbonaiton dies down a bit, but then the acidic and metallic tastes seem stronger. Medium body with an explosive, sharp and blanketing carbonation and not much else to be described as the carbonation washes any other mouthfeel away. All in all other than the crazy carbonation I think it would be a pretty good beer, definitely not worth the $9 asking price in this condition though.

Bottle, batch 571. Very good aroma, big hit of coffe and roasted tones. Beer is quite light and drinkable, carbonization is low, and...it’s only 6,5% EBV, not so much for a porter. Bitterness is low, beer is semidry. Good stuff.

Bottled July 2011. Deep brown/black pour with a tight tan head. Toffee, dried fruit and coffee aroma. Taste is sweet, caramel, roasty, almost a sweet iced coffee rather than espresso bitterness. Really tasty - sweeter than expected but done so well

50cl bottle, served in Snifter @ Homo Sibaris. Pours deep dark brown with medium beige creamy head (lasting). Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate and hints of coffee. Bitter taste because of the blend coffe + hops, balanced by the malts which give a chocolaty touch. Very nice coffee grains on the palate. Full body, perfect carbonation. So balanced and smooth.

Bottle at Beer Hunters. I have rated this before but I noticed that my rating is not on RB so needs to drinked again. Dark brown color, small off-white head. Aroma has pure coffee, coffee beans. Medium-bodied. Flavor is cold coffee, some caramel and low bitterness. This is vintage 2012. Clearly thinner than back then and less aggressive coffee.

Old rating rerated 15.04.2014, 0,5l bottle @ Café Spesial:
Nice light brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich, licorice, espresso, dark malts, toffee, chocolate pudding, dark sugar, soy sauce. Taste is slightly rich and sour-ish, espresso, dark malts, burnt caramel, licorice, chocolate, dark sugar, grass. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Very nice, but I wish they would stick to the recipe from the very first batch of this one. It was way better.
