| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Dark brown - near black - in colour with a thin brown coloured head, light lacing. The aroma is of chocolate, light alcohol, mild sweetness, some molasses and some smoke. The flavour is of chocolate, light smoke, good sweetness, roasty, very malty with some light alcohol. Sweet malty mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with some light alcohol warmth, lingering, sweet.
The alcohol never became a factor, seemed to get more malty as it warmed. Pretty good.
500ml bottle obtained in a trade with JohnnyJ, thanks John.

The creamy stout, malt and barley, with a gently hint of alcohol, but your wheat back means even on the hottest day I would gladly get lit on you and be refreshed. Habanero (641), Tranbjerg, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 18, 2008 Pours a nice dark black with a medium sized short lived tan head. Smell is roasty malt, but somehow lighter than most from the wheat. Some caramel sweetness and a hint of smokiness as it warms. Taste is quite bitter and hoppy for an imperial stout. Fairly ashy and roasty with some bitter sweet caramel. Slightly rich body and a bit of bubbly carbonation. This grew on me as I drank it, and ended up being a very solid, somewhat unique beer. Definitely worth a try.
