The nose is roasted grain and caramel. First impression of the flavor was an odd tartness...either wheat grassiness or a strange off-tasting tartness. Some chocolate and coffee follows. The body seems way too thin for the style as well. Heavy sediment layered in lumps in the bottom of my glass. Not bad, but nothing I would care to repeat (except to find out if that weird sour taste is intentional or accidental!) biggcb (464), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 16, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep, dark bown color with a thin tan head. Faily thick pouring. Aroma of much roasted malts, some caramel, espresso. Flavor is similar, with the espresso being a little more pronounced and some add’l dark fruit notes. Thick and hearty. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and am glad I have a few more bottles of it. heemer77 (4313), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The aroma was pancakes and milk chocolate with some plums. The taste was milk chocolate with some light pancakes. There was also some almond character. Nicely made. nbutler11 (779), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

I swear that while I was drinking this it felt like someone was pressing against my chest. If that’s where the name is derived from, then well done team Norway. tlind2 (605), Helsinki, Finland

Very full, creamy mouthfeel. Taste is dominated by juicy malts and chocolate with a nice touch of hops. Can’t really find the wheat, but a quality product nonetheless. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 5, 2008 Bottle shared with Ronald and Carita in Finland. So here’s something different - a wheat impie stout, Considering this the impressive rocky roasted head wasn’t suprising. What was dissappointing was the mouthfeel, which was a little thinner than I expected. Dark roasted notes, with a long bitter chalky aftertaste. Was there blueberry in there somewhere? pepsican (886), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 4, 2008 Thanks to everyone that has sent me one of these. I have received about a 6 pack of these as extras, so I figure I might as well rate it. Pours black with a thick brown head. Aroma was lots of caramel and chocolate. Huge chocolate flavor, some hops, espresso, wheat, and tart fruit. Finishes creamy with a very slight acidic edge. Interesting.
