"Double" (imperial) wheat stout.
This imperial really strikes back. From a strange country far, far away, comes the only Imperial Wheat Stout in the known universe. Once again, the ’Hand’ brewery - four guys brewing in their spare time, on an absurdly small scale - boldly goes where no brewery has gone before.

Drought. Very dark brown with small creamy dark tan head that dissipates quickly, cherry-chocolate aroma, low carbonation, sweetish cherry taste mixed with bitter mocha, ending with an unfortunate cough syrup flavor. I am not very much impressed with this.

An interesting but ok tasting beer. Pours a beautiful deep black with a thick tan head. Smells like cherry cough syrup, not too good. Taste is very different, coffee and cream. Quite smooth. Had in the bottle.

Dark brown pour orange brown head. Aroma of berries, roasts, hay. Tastes smokey, lactic, char, some wheat, but not that much. Light sharp effervescence. Buttery vineous mouthfeel.

Svart med mørkt, brunt skum som ligger lenge. Delikat, mørk aroma av kakao, nøtter og tørket frukt. Fyldig, med fin syre og alkoholvarme. God og kraftig. (Havnabakken, 28.05.14)

Interesting aroma. Wheat, roasted malt and hops. Not complex, but bonus points for being unique. Pours pitch black with a surprisingly large tan bubbly head. Leaves little lacing on the glass. There is a lot of smoke in the taste, which is a pleasant surprise for me. Besides the smoky flavor, the taste is similar to the aroma with a punch of hop bitterness at the end. A bit weak on the palate - it could be fuller and thicker. Kind of reminds me of Stone Smoked Porter, would be good with BBQ. I feel this beer may be a bit overrated, but it is interesting and unique. Worth a try, probably not worth the price.

Pours a opaque black with a small brown head. Aroma is licorice, roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, dark chocolate, and lightly bready. Flavour is licorice, roasted malt, cocoa, dark chocolate, sweet caramel, bready notes, mild bitterness, very faint alcohol and a moderately dry finish.
