COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Double" (imperial) wheat stout.
This imperial really strikes back. From a strange country far, far away, comes the only Imperial Wheat Stout in the known universe. Once again, the ’Hand’ brewery - four guys brewing in their spare time, on an absurdly small scale - boldly goes where no brewery has gone before.
US version is 9%.

Drunk and rated to celebrate my rating number 17,500. Bottled. A pitch black beer wit a thick very dark brown head. The aroma has notes of hard roasted malt, wood, berries, dark chocolate, and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roastes malt, as well as medium notes of soy sauce, wood, and dark chocolate, as well as just hints of wheat, before the dry roasted, and woody finish sets in.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a completely opaque black with a beige head. Roasted, burned aroma. Fairly full body with lightly vinous accents, some burned malts leave a high degree of malt astringency. 130507

50 cL bottle, batch 60. Pours black with a dense chocolate brown head. Roasted malt aroma, nice note of chocolate and a distinct hops wooden note shining through. Smooth fullbodied brew. Flavour is a lovely mix of hard roasted malt and acidic hops touch. Shows a solid alcohol presence lightly burning into the finish yet smoothend by the chocolate notes.

Bottled at Københavnske Øldage. Near black with firm brown head. Sweet and caramelly with burnt popcorn, sticky choclate and some syrup. Quite malty, but the mouthfeel is a bit mellow. Notes of tar in a salty, lightly resiny finish.

Bottle at KØ07. Sweet liquorice aroma with a hint of butter. Black colour, very small brown head. The flavour is very roasted with some coffee and a little sourness which balances the flavour nicely. Late coffee aftertaste.

Batch number 60
Black color; beige, big but fizzy head. Strange aroma mixing light feelings of malt, caramel, roasted malt, cardboard, grass, manure. The mouthfeel is quite dry, with medium strength; there is a lot of roasted malt, caramel and liquorice flavor. The final as well could not be else than bitter with roasted malt and liquorice. Not the top of the list.
