COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Double" (imperial) wheat stout.
This imperial really strikes back. From a strange country far, far away, comes the only Imperial Wheat Stout in the known universe. Once again, the ’Hand’ brewery - four guys brewing in their spare time, on an absurdly small scale - boldly goes where no brewery has gone before.

Black with a big and lasting light brown head. Aroma is fruity, floral, licorice, chocolate. Roast malty dry with a very unique flavour that I could easily imagine coming from wheat. tart and very black aftertaste.

Tap. Pours a deep brown with a small brown film head. Aroma has coffee, chocolate, raisins. Vinious flavour, creamy mouthfeel. Sweet flavour with roasted and chocolate edge. Well-rounded, and the wheat gives the beer a wonderful feel!

bottle, pours dark oily pitch black, gigantic brown head, roasted grains, coffee, charchoal, wooden fire put out by water, grill coal aroma. flavor is roasted and burnt wood and charcoal, roasted grains, faint licorice, flavors so strong they hide alc, but alc, can be sensed. afraid i have to admit that this one is too roasted for me. if there was more chocolate, more alc, more something else, it could’ve been truly great. if you like roasted go for it. most roasted/burnt flavor i ever tasted in a beer.

500 ml bottle poured a clear deep black with red highlights and a large lasting tan head. Aromas of carmel, chocolate, vanilla and a hint of mocha. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry warming finish. Flavors of mocha, carmel, vanilla and chocolate milk with a smooth dry warming lingering bittersweet finish.

Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Dense brown head. Chocolate and light grass in the aroma. Some roast and light spice. Flavour has roast, cocoa, chocolate and light coffee. Some herbal notes. A bit bland for an Impy IMO. Medium bodied. Has a light bitter roastyness in the end. Very easy to drink.

Bottle purchased at Liquor Max in Loveland, CO. Pours opaque (light tested) with an average, frothy, dark brown head, mostly lasting with very good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (dark roasted grain, toasted nut, dark chocolate), average hops (perfume, flowers), average yeast (leather, earth) with notes of prunes, licorice and smoke. Full bodied, alcoholic texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness. I was hoping for more mouth feel with this one; it seemed way to carbonated. The aroma also lacked some as I also expected more in-your-face malty character. Nonetheless, a really good offering.

Black with huge brown head. Sweet aroma with notes of roasted malt and coffee. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, liquerice and cofee notes. Ends slightly bitter.
