(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful, almost clear amber colour with a handsome, creamy, white head leaving a curtain of laces. Fat, oily hop aroma with a citric touch. Medium body with light notes of caramel, but otherwise completely dominated by aroma hops leaving wonderful fruity accents - peach, pineapple and grapefruit. For a malthead like me this is way too hoppy with its 128 IBU, but I must admit that it’s an exceptionally well crafted American style IPA. Impressive indeed. 220606

500 ml bottle. Quite pale, hazy orange to yellow body with a decent white head. Fine citric fruit aroma. Flavor is light malty with citric fruit and quite bitter. A really nice and easy drinkable IPA with decent hop profile.

Had this in Copehagen around the time of the Kobehavnske Oldage, May 2006. Not sure whether it was at the festival, or somewhere else. Not even 100% it was this beer as my notes are barely legible and look to say Mai-IPA (but it could be something else). It certainly was very hoppy in the aroma - lots of US style pine, resin and sharp grapefruit. Falls away on the palate. Thin mouthfeel. Sharp, astringent finish.

Tons of brett. Light hops. Cloudy with lots of yeast. A little bitter. It is hard to know if some of these beers are infected intentionally or not.

Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Unclear medium orange color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, pine, orange. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20081023]

Nice orange pour into a pint glass with a solid 3/4 inch head. Aroma pleasantly fruity with a little bit of hops. Dry mouthfeel, with an initial fruity apricot flavor and finshes with hops and yeasty aftertaste. Very good, although very different from the traditional american IPA.

0.5 l bottle. Hazy orange color with creamy head. Sweet, caramelly, toffeish and orangey aroma with hints of apricot and alcohol. Bittersweet flavor with caramel, yeast, fruity and orangey hops, lemony tartness, toasted malt and orange marmelade. Sweetness and yeast detract from the english and IPA characteristics.

Bottle @ YNWA, Kolding.
Pours muddy yellow-orange with a nice, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is grassy, light fruity hops, some cardboardy yeast. High carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Flavour is quite sweet, good (but a lot of) malts. The hops is a bit subdued, okay dryness. More EPA than IPA.

Bottle, 2008 Pre-GBBF Chris_o Shindig. Bright orange, white head. Vague citrus and animal/mineral aroma, fruit leather. Salty, tinned grapefruit flavor, fairly soft bitterness with lingering chalk.
