Almost clear brown, light brown head. Some coffee, caramel malts, funky hint, seaweed or something salty at least.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ 2nd tuesday tasting at De Molen, hosted by dEnk. Hazy brown pour, thin tan head. Aroma of licorice, brown sugars and a lot of herbs. Flavor is dry bitter and spicy, a bit aged and quite herby. Not really my cup of tea.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle that I took to a tasting at James’s place. Pours a deep brown with a touch of amber to it and a thin to medium sized white head. A bit of isopropyl, cocoa, chocolate, malt, toast. Medium bodied, cocoa, roast, chocolate, malt. Spicy roast. Cocoa. Chocolate. Decent enough I guess.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
An off-white slice fo foam settles above the very dark brown. Complex aroma, mostly oriented toward maltiness and showcasing a broad range of its potentialities including charred nuts, tobacco, peat moss, ashes... Roasty, but perhaps even more smokey, meaning that we’re not dealing with mere chocolate/coffee, but rather a range of dark flavours. Fairly yeasty (berry-like, spicy and slightly medicinal) as well and to my liking, probably too much so, bringing a chaotic notion to this otherwise contemplative brew that feels bigger than its size. Warming, if not hot for a 7.5% ale. Like many Haandbryggeriet, it manages to have a dense body, punctuated by agreeable yet soft carbonation all the while not feeling all that sweet, closing up with a dash of spicy/herbal hops providing little bitterness, but a sense of balance and finition to this beer that ventured here and there at will. Another very, very creative ale from these great artists.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

Molt bona textura i carbonatació. Bon equilibri entre torrats, amargs i dolçor. Molt bona cervesa.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured a murky dark brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of coffee and chocolate with some light herbs notes is pretty unique and very nice. Taste is a good mix between some coffee and chocolate with light dry fruits, herbs with a dry aftertaste. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Unique and quite complex beer that retains some drinkability.
