"a nice treat. pours black with a thin tan head. aroma roasted malts, licorice, spices, chocolate, wood, and a touch of alcohol. feel is very smooth. medium to full bodied. flavor roasted and bitter chocolate, and the barreling in aquavit gives it another layer of complexity. tasty, although an odd combo of traditional porter flavors, hot alcohol (as it warms) as well as herbs and spices. good stuff. 50 cl. bottle, batch # 602, poured in to a Tulip. Pitch black with a dense, creamy tanned head. Good looking. Roasted aroma with dark malts, a very distinct aquavit barrel, caramel, chocolate, coffee, bread, vanilla, alcohol and dark, dried fruits. Taste is bitter and roasted. Full body with an oily texture and a soft carbonation. Long lasting bitter and roasted finish with herbal hops, fruits and bitter chocolate. Big, roasted Porter with the aquavit barrel adding extra layers of complexity to the flavour. Excellent.
