Ausgeglichener, ausgesprochen grasig-blumiger Hopfenantrunk. 10/11/11/12/12/11

(50 cl bottle from Bunker Beer) Pours a hazy dark amber with medium, off-white head. Aroma a very likable and harmonic floral hoppiness with notes of passion fruit, lemon and a slight note of grass. Oily - almost creamy on the palate from the initial foam lending a more bitter grassiness to the aroma, which is nevertheless still very pleasant and easily drinkable. Full-bodied, average carbonation with a long, bitter finish. Taste is bitter well balanced by fruity and floral notes. A great beer - made me want to try the original recipe by De Molen.

Bottle: Very big airy light tan head on top of a beautiful clear orange colored beer. Smell hop flowers, fruit, citrus, grape, light soapy, pine, fresh and cactus. Taste is a very soft airy mix of fruit fresh, bitter fruity, sweets, spices, malts, lemon/lime, light honey. Nice bitter aftertaste. Medium carbo, medium to full body, spicy mouthfeel. Very well balanced body/texture.

ClubGonzo (2718) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 11, 2011
Bottle @ Naboen, Bergen. Pours an thick, foamy white head above a murky orange body with some floaties. Nose is very hoppy, with nice floral notes and hints of caramel-like maltiness. Taste is rather dark for an IPA, with dense malty tones to complement the grassy, fruity flavors coming up front. Some citric notes. A bit of a hop sting comes through in the finish, which I like. This is a very good IPA, although I actually prefer the Struise version - Ignis & Flamma - to all the other variants of this beer that I’ve had thus far. This one isn’t far behind, though.

0.5l bottle #315 @ Naboen Bergen . Pours a really nice semi cloudy dark orange body with a fluffy and extreme big as hell everlasting white head leaving enormous lacings. Aromas are peach, fruity and a bit perfumy. Really lively carbonation - almost to lively for my taste and medium bodied. Tastes are dominated by fruits like peach and grapefruit, and nicely balanced with caramel malts, pine, hops and some yeast. Finishes off with a dry and fizzy finish.
