COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Haandbryggeriet version of Vuur & Vlam.

Fyr og Flamme is a dry hopped IPA in the US style with an exceptional aroma and hop flavours. We use a very special blend of 3 American hops that produce lots of hop flavours. We produce living beer, not pasteurised or filtered.

Dark gold / light orange color. In my opinion it differs from other íVuur&Vlammení mostly because the grapefruitsmell and -taste are completely hidden, I smell and taste more resin. Itís gotten rounder somehow, lost itís sharp edges which in this case is not a good thing. Still a nice beer, but other versions are better I think.

Draft. Pour is dark gold with a good white head. Aroma is floral, citrus, lots of pine/resin with a bit of caramel. Flavor is intense resin/floral hops with a nice sweet malt balance. Palate is chewey, bitter, a bit dry. Quite nice.

Bottle. Slightly muddy amber with a light beige head. Aroma of apricots, flowers, pine, kumquats. Gently carbonated, slightly creamy. Feels alive. Sweetness is mainly of stone fruits, bitterness has pine and citrus with some white pepper right at the end. Some grapes and flowers. Nice balance. Fruitier and not as complex as the Vuur and Vlams Iíve had but in better condition.

Thank you OleR for this one - golden with white head - nice hoppy aroma - good malt body to balance the hop bitterness that is there, and the hop bitterness is distinct and good - long lingering hop bitterness - very good and tasty

500ml bottle. Heaven in a glass. Big rich glowing orange colour and a thick crown of beige foam. Sweet floral hop aromas with a citrus background. The flavour is intense, thick and chewy in the mouth. The perfectly crafted beer.

On tap at the Beer Temple, Amsterdam on 18th March 2011. Clear amber with foam/film head and part lacing. Rich and fruity aroma, with rich fruitiness continuing in-mouth where it is met by spiciness and a lemony tang. Bitter sweet finish with tangy fruitiness. Zingy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable.

A clear golden/amber colored beer, with a very big foamy, off white head. The aroma of fruits with hops, some bitter. There are spices and itís flowery. The taste is fruity like citrus, bitter of hops, hints of spices. The aftertaste is bitter for a while.
