COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Haandbryggeriet version of Vuur & Vlam.

Fyr og Flamme is a dry hopped IPA in the US style with an exceptional aroma and hop flavours. We use a very special blend of 3 American hops that produce lots of hop flavours. We produce living beer, not pasteurised or filtered.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wine drank at home; pours dark orange with a 2 finger off white head, the aroma is quite hoppy but when drank I get more malt than hop. A quality beer.

Une bouteille de 50 cl. Batch 418.

50 cl bottle at home in Skövde. Amber beer, maybe a bit hazy with a big creamy beige head. Fruity, hoppy, sweet aroma. Some bitterness with nice hoppy flavour.

Bottle, from a trade with Cunningham. Somewhat hazy golden beer with a very nice lasting beige head. Hoppy fruity aroma, grass, metal, hay, grapefruit and pine, grapes, some apples. Hoppy citrus flavor, metal, cream notes, rather bitter, pine needles, mango, some spices, grass, floral notes. Really bitter finish with pine, hay and some grapefruit. Refreshing and well done.

My Bottom Line :
Bountiful citrus fruit move into evergreen-like resinous hop bitterness while light honeyed malt sweetness nearly creates balance.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A thick, creamy sheet of foam slowly recedes into the cloudy pale amber.
-Smooth carbonation and restrained residual sugars make for high drinkability.
-This is much fruitier than De Molen’s version.
-Earthy hop undertones are pleasant.

Bottle.

Golden copper with a lot of yeast in suspension and a white foamy head that fades quickly leaving a god lace. Resinous hops on the nose as well as a strong malt base and hints of dried oranges and sulfur. Low to medium body, low carbonation, sweet and bitter oranges develops on the palate, medium bitterness, clean, finishes on a drying bitter finale. Would be interesting to taste fresher...

From a 500ml bottle on 15/7/2012 (ABV listed as 6.5%, best before 2/6/2012). Was a complete gusher but once the suds subsided, it poured a very murky golden orange. Has a slighty fruity, floral aroma. In the mouth, it’s primarily fruity with lots or sweet orange and mandarin with a bit of caramel malt, some boozy notes, and a medium slightly sour hop bitterness. The palate is a bit soapy and the carbonation is quite high, though tolerable in the context of the original gush. Pretty subdued for an IPA. All up, a bit disappointing, but it was consumed after the best before date, so perhaps I should revisit.

Bottled. Pours murky to hazy amber with a medium sized off-white head. Leaving a good lacing. Nose of excitc fruits, caramel and resin notes. Sweet flavor with tropical fruits. citrus and caramel. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. Ends up more dry and plesant bitter. Nice indeed!

50 cl bottle @ Kultainen Apina. Rated on 18.11.2010
Aroma is rather nice with hops, lots of exotic fruits and some resin. Flavour is hoppy with resin, exotic fruits, some caramel and hints of pine needles. Very nice hop profile here.

At the "Expired Beer Tasting" at Dagan’s Place. Thanks DSG. Pours yellow to orange rusty with a nice head, aroma of onion, tangerine, lemon grass, greenness, marmalade, flavor is bitter and dry with no sweetness, lemon skin, greenness, medium to full bodied, nice
