The Haandbryggeriet version of Vuur & Vlam.

Fyr og Flamme is a dry hopped IPA in the US style with an exceptional aroma and hop flavours. We use a very special blend of 3 American hops that produce lots of hop flavours. We produce living beer, not pasteurised or filtered.

Aroma is rather nice with hops, lots of exotic fruits and some resin. Flavour is hoppy with resin, exotic fruits, some caramel and hints of pine needles. Very nice hop profile here.

Bottle, courtesy of Palme. Amber-brown with a big head. Sweet, American hop aroma, with pine, mango and passion fruit at the front, and also pineapple, grapefruit, peach, some pear and some caramelly malt. What I didn’t like was the biting carbonation, coupled with the sharp bitterness - the beer came across rather rough, rustic I would say perhaps. Other than that, this is a very good IPA, with a medium body, light sweetness, strong bitterness (but too rough), actually more hoppy-bitter than hoppy-aromatic while drinking - bitter-centered. Does not succeed in living up to the original from De Molen, but still very good.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks KnutAlbert for this bottle! Hazy copper-amber with an off-white head. Aroma of flowers, citrus and some tropical fruits. Flavor has a bit of sweetish malt and a nice fruity and floral hops with a bitter and slightly grapefruity finish. Medium-bodied.

Pours hazy golden with a white head. Nose of citrus and spruce. Nice, yet mellow citrus aroma with hints of fruit and a rounded spruce. Easily drinkable! Instant classic!

Very drinkable and well-hopped IPA. Aroma is floral with a bit of citrus, taste is nearly mellow but the bitterness still dominates.

Great punch in the nose, powerfull rich hoppy feeling in the mouth. Maybe a bit to much smokeynes, but this is drawed back from the elegant mix of the hops and fruits. Ps: much better on tap! SetesAle - "It's in the fridge" (A beer for the future)
