The Haandbryggeriet version of Vuur & Vlam.

Fyr og Flamme is a dry hopped IPA in the US style with an exceptional aroma and hop flavours. We use a very special blend of 3 American hops that produce lots of hop flavours. We produce living beer, not pasteurised or filtered.

Bottle. Pours cloudy golden with big white head. Aroma is fresh and hoppy, slight soapy, citrus fruits, grapefruit, orange peel, some peach candy and pineapple, slight grass. Taste has peach and pineapple at first, then exotic fruits and turns more bitter and piney. Some grapefruit and subtle soapy notes, the good way. Easy drinkable and dry crisp finish. Medium body and average carbonation. More yeasty as it warms.

Bottle thanks to Magnus. Pours an almost clear amber with a big, white head. Aroma has lots of hops, citrus fruit, pear, mango, citra hops. Taste has lots of citrus zest, bitter and slight tart notes, malty sweetness. Pretty fresh, and very easy drinking. Slight soapy. Average carb and a smooth body. Not bad!

Deep golden. Whote head, no lacing. Aroma of aprocot, floral and citrus. Taste creamy bitternes, fruit nd citrus. Aftertaste of balanced bitterness and sweetnes. The yeast has sedimented and sayed in the bottum witch makes it nit as dominated. I’ll have to thry to bemore patient with this brwewery because mostly the flouters dominate the brew too much. This was quite good.

Week 11. Orange gold with an initially enthusiastic modest white foam. Quite a lipsmacker. Nose of Oakham Citra-like pissy greenery, leafy tropical fruit, mandarin and dragon fruit. Stewed green-then-pink-then orange flavour of mandarins in syrup swished with bunches of silvery haired green stems and tomato vine. Geraniums? Some soggy biscuit, peach and pollen leaning over the Atlantic. Bottle from Bergen airport.

500ml bottle (Zmogsala2015, Vilnius) (6+:4:6:4:13+=3.3++)
Good malty aroma, ice hops too. Palate quite light to. Nice full malty body, super bitter hop finish. Nicely tingly. That’s a very drinkable IPA, has everyithing in good balance, and is well attenuated.
