COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer was brewed in sept. 06 and has since then been aged in oak barrels until bottling on March 22. 2008. The beer is blended for roundness but is still very sour and a little bit acetic. We think our first attempt has been a great success and we will definitely try this again.

On tap at Haandbryggeriets opening party of new facilities. Brown color, some- not much foam. High aroma intensity; autumn leaves, some roasted notes- distinct barrel influence . Medium body & high complexity. High sourness- some bitterness. Very enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml brown bottle, rated 8.0% ABV batch no 620, poured into a Tulip glass. Appearance is opaque dark brown with a small beige head that dissipated fast, leaving no lacing. Aroma of table grapes, cherries, vinegar and a hint of chocolate. Flavours of table grapes, cherries, a hint of chocolate, oak wood notes and lemon zest. Taste is light sweet, light bitter and heavy sour. Palate is medium bodied, slick texture and soft carbonation. HaandBryggeriet Haandbakk is on the sourer end of the scale for the style, a good beer overall, but maybe a bit lacking in balance and complexity to the old Belgian masters.

Sour scent of berries. The taste is the same but small hints of oak. Wonderful bitterness that fills the mouth for a long while. Sour but still really good to drink according to me. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Wonderful sourness. And the aroma is awesome. Pours dark with almost no carbonation. A fruity and spicy taste with a nice oak in the background.

Nice sourness. Supposedly not a true flanders, but hits the spot for me. Reddish brown with a touch of head. Bit of nail polish.
