COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer was brewed in sept. 06 and has since then been aged in oak barrels until bottling on March 22. 2008. The beer is blended for roundness but is still very sour and a little bit acetic. We think our first attempt has been a great success and we will definitely try this again.

(500ml bottle) Pours a thick chewy murky reddish brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma of sour cherry, cocoa, vanilla, and caramel. Flavor of caramel malt, cherry, barrel, toffee, port, brown sugar, and chocolate with a dry finish. Very nice! Looking forward to trying another bottle of this unique sour.

Sample at a Systembolaget tasting. Fruity smell with some light sour notes, also some cellar notes. Similar taste. Round and smooth bitterness.

Bottle 0,5l. Batch 620. Pours deep red/brown. Nearly no head. Lactic, acidic, balsamic, plum, chocolate, slightly funky aroma. Tart, red wine barrel taste. Very pleasing palate.

Kolor błota i brak piany.

vingar aroma explodes outta the bottle upon opening. again on the pour, preparing me for a super sour taste sensation, but the flavor was way more mellow than expected and balanced with sweetness and wood. this was an average sour for me, though i would definitely not call it a starter sour. 5/11 - this once specifies red wine barrels on the label. maybe it’s the same, maybe not...but bottle two was better and more assertive than bottle one. this one was a solid 4+ instead of a 3.5. score adjusted accordingly."

Draft at Novare Res. Happy Zwanze! Pours brown, no head. Aroma of dark cherry, brown bread. Taste is slight acetic, sour cherry, leather. Finish is dry and oaky.

Salmoniform (844) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - SEP 8, 2014
Poured from bottle to glass. Dark amber/brownish hue with tan head. Aroma is lactic, fig, toffee, acetic, slight funk, molasses. Mouthfeel is decent with medium light body and zesty carbonation. Taste is sweet throughout with a nice tartness in the following. Overall this was ok but reminded me a bit if Balsamic Vinegar.

Draft at Eulogy. Very dark brown clear pour with very little head. Strong dark sour. Some sweetness and smoke. Balsamic vinegar. Peat. Dark red and brown fruits. Dates. Plum pits. Chocolate nibs. Dried raspberries. Bing cherries. Burnt port wine barrels. Excellent but not as good as some of the other classic Haand beers.

Really disappointed in this beer. I had expected some sourness but this was really not to my taste, or others in the group

Fin duft av syrlige frukter. Mřrk brun farge. Dekkende skum, heng langs kant. Syrlig fruktig smak som sitter.
