COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
HaandBic is our first beer in the style of a fruit iambic with added red currents and Lingonberry. We have naturally also added a lambic style yeast blend incl bacteria and yeast of different types. Then this concoction has been aged in oak barrels for almost 18 months. The beer gets its tartness from both berries and the concoction we added. It will most certainly develop further given time

Leathery, funky fruit aroma, some oaky-ness too. Orange-copper in colour with a pink hue in the right light. No head. Complex flavours of sweet fruit and sour funk, don’t pick red currents but berry like fruit. More vanilla late. Low carbonation and very pleasant tart finish. Very drinkable lambic style and highly enjoyed.

Was thinking all along that this one used red currants and Lingonberry...what else can I sell you? Interesting cherry skin tartness, some acidity, oak, funk, balsamic, and lemon zest. A very drinkable lambic that I’d happily try again.

Bottle at Avenue Pub with Bobby and Ann. Pours a cola brown/red with no head at all. Aroma is tart cherries and horse blanket. Taste is flat, very cherry forward with a creamy vanilla flavor making it very rounded. Not very complex but easily drinkable.

Ett fantastiskt spontanjäst öl. Smak och doft av tranbär, röda vinbär, gräs, örter, äpple, ekfat. Rund och len med en lätt syrlighet och sötma. Välbalanserad.

THVB (23) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 20, 2013
Bottle at home (february 9, 2013) Hazy pink/orange with a thin off white lacing. A lot of fresh sweet and sour fruits like cranberries and lingonberry, wild yeast, lactic sourness and vanilla from the barrel. Fruity taste with slightly sweet red berries. Soft lambic taste. The fine oak and vanilla flavours fits really well. There is also an really pleasant ongoing bitterness. I like sours with not much carbonation like this!

Flaska från DeMolens webshop. Drucken på Norgeprovning. Tydlig lambicdoft. Lambicsmaker, trä, syrliga äpplen, stall, men också tranbär, vinbär, skog, lite mjölig känsla in munnen, precis som tranbär kan kännas, snäll syra som ger stor plats åt bären. Riktigt god!

Bottle at home. It slowly crawls out the bottle :-) slightly hazy red with a small white head. Horse blanket, dusty, barnyard aroma. Some berries in the background. Low carbonation, dry, wonderfull but the berries could have shined more in the taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
