COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
HaandBic is our first beer in the style of a fruit iambic with added red currents and Lingonberry. We have naturally also added a lambic style yeast blend incl bacteria and yeast of different types. Then this concoction has been aged in oak barrels for almost 18 months. The beer gets its tartness from both berries and the concoction we added. It will most certainly develop further given time

Amber pour with minimal head. Aromas of slight oak and fruit. Flavor has some acidity to it but not much. A very mild sour, no single flavor seems to stand out and the sourness is minimal. A bit weak.

Bottle, bottled June 2011. Pours a headless, almost clear amber beer. Aroma is mostly oak, raisins, tart fruit and wild yeast. Flavor is medium acidic, red fruits and has a slight oaky sweetness in the back. Low carbonation, short, light tart finish. Decent sour, but I’ve had better from this brewery.

Bastante buena.

Bottle:   Deep pinkish hued amber, dirty, sediment, moderate sudsy sandy head, spotty lacing.   Soft sour nose, woody, unripened berries, and shrubby.   Strong vinegar and acidic notes up front, slightly dry, woody, unripened berries, with a little earthen shrubbiness on the backside.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Soft finish.   Strong oak and tartness linger, along with unripened berries.   Shrubby, but decent!
