COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
HaandBic is our first beer in the style of a fruit iambic with added red currents and Lingonberry. We have naturally also added a lambic style yeast blend incl bacteria and yeast of different types. Then this concoction has been aged in oak barrels for almost 18 months. The beer gets its tartness from both berries and the concoction we added. It will most certainly develop further given time

Bottle. Pours a clear light red with little head and aromas that remind me of cranberry juice with added tartness. Flavor is... well... I guess interesting is a good way of putting it. It is acidic, but less sour than I expected. The finish is bandaid tasting and a little medicinal. I was hoping for better on this one.

Hazy orange-red-brown body. Minimal head. Currants, grapes, vinegar, cherry-like fruits, and a potent acidity. Medium bodied. Aggressive sourness. Relatively complex and enjoyable.

500ml botle. Some sour and sweet aromas. Almost no carbonation . Pours dark cloudy red. Taste is moderate sour, really dry and earthy, very astrigent but in a different sense rather than other sour ales. Did not enjoy this one so much.

(sample at Papsø’s; courtesy of OleR) Pours a clear amber with little, white head. Aroma is slightly apple tart with a hint of malt. Oily texture, medium carbonation, medium body with a sour finish. Taste is apple cider, crisp tartness. Pleasant even if it’s not my style and I fail to taste the fruit.
