2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
25th April 2015
Lightly hazy amber beer, a few short lived pale cream colour bubbles. Palate is light, dry and crisp. Sour start, some balsamic vinegar and a Flemish Red character. Mild lemon acid. Trace of smoke on the back end. Light crisp finish. More vinegar and acid on the linger. A bit on the sharp side for my tastes.

pours hazy/cloudy golden orange without a head, no sign of revival, nor any lacing. woodsy oak, very spicy, red wine, cranberries and raspberries, fruity and spicy caramel, tart peaches and other ripened orchard fruitiness, old grassy hops - sulfuric touch, light to medium acidity - plum vinegar - acetic but not overdone, low yet present funk, grass. light carbonation, light to medium body - oily; relatively and firmly tart woody-grassy-spicy finish. nice.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared 12.7 oz. bottle poured to snifters, showing a cloudy, brownish amber color, with not much head foam, but some persistence to the bubbly ring, and light spots of lacing. The nose was yeasty funk, but also a bit medicinal. Light to medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste was tart, with esters as dark berries & cherry, and some subtle, tannic astringency. Questionable start, but the flavor brought me back.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light lambic aroma. Apple juice like appearance. Strong oak aged influence. Sweet lambic like. Way different from acid Belgian lambic. Still wondering about this lambic yeast as claimed on the label. Well balanced taste on the sweet end of the tongue. Good body.

Ganske kort.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at home, purchased at Etre. It pours lightly hazy deep orange with a quickly dispiriting head. The nose is funky, earthy, barnyard, manure, dirt, oak, light vanilla and some tart red berry. The taste is earthy, funky, rather tart, lactic acid, tart red berry (particularly redcurrant), tangerine, wood, dirt, barnyard and must with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A good deal of manure kicking about, Works pretty well though...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (500 ml). Split 2-ways with the lady.
Appearance: Cloudy copper with a small quickly disappearing beige head and no lacing.
Aroma: Berries, lot of oak, balsamic vinegar, light vanilla and apples.
Taste: Medium sourness, balsamic vinegar (not in a bad way too, it might be the most well integrated "vinegar" component I have tasted in a beer so far), berries, lots of oak again and light burnt caramel.
Palate: Medium body. Soft carbonation. Vinous mouthfeel. Dry and oaky finish.
Overall: Not that close to lambic, but a well executed sour in the HaandBryggeriet way. They handled the "vinegar" aspect wery well. The acidity carries the berries features very well. Tasty.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours an unclear copper with a head that fizzes away in an instant and leave you with something that looks like still lambic. Nose is of funk and acetic acid, not too much though and could easily pass as authentic. Taste is sour and plays with vinegar in quite a masterful way, not harsh at all. Good oak and fruitiness. Body is light to medium and carbonation somehow high for a "lambic". Overall a fine brew, scratches the right itch and does not land too far from its target.
