HaandBic is our first beer in the style of a fruit iambic with added red currents and Lingonberry. We have naturally also added a lambic style yeast blend incl bacteria and yeast of different types. Then this concoction has been aged in oak barrels for almost 18 months. The beer gets its tartness from both berries and the concoction we added. It will most certainly develop further given time

Rating #500. Bottle from ACBF. Pours dark brown/orange, with nearly no head, and some grainy sediment. Aroma is a combination of lactic acids and barrel touches. Taste is still a bit sweet, works well for the balance, think it has aging potential also. Palate is quite mellow, better than expected for a wild yeast ale. Overall an interesting brew. But not the most suprising aroma’s.

Sampled from bottle at Maakun’s. Hazy brown. Sour grapes, balsamico, sour grain. Medium sour. Medium body, low carbonation. Lot of yeast since it was the final pour.

Tijdens IPA/Sour proeverij in Vinotake Waalwijk, uitgeschonken in Struise BD proefglas. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared, thanks Neil. Rich sour fruit character, quite acidic, feels like baies d’argousier, some tartness with a woodsy edge, fairly dry on the finish with light notes of vinegar. Surprisingly tasty stuff, will hunt for their other brews.

Bottle from Tokyo Liquor Land. Nice aroma, strawberries, bit balsamic, oaky. Taste is not so exciting, fruity again, citrus, berries, jam, light sourness. Feels a bit boozy. Quite nice.

Bottle shared at a tasting. Thanks Neil! Seabuckthorn, wild strawberries, and an overall berry character that jumps out of the glass. Average carbonation with a medium body. Lots of oak on the palate coming from the 18 months of barrel-aging. Sherry-like finish with mild tartness present. Delicious.

Pours amber reddish , thin foam. Slight haze in there. Aroma is sweet, has some balsamic vinegar together with apple peels. Fruity and full of berries. Taste is acidic, nice, berry-sweet. Clean, some paint and balsamic vinegar. quite thin but packed with flavours. Drier and full of tannins closer to the finish. Cranberry bitterness. Feels Nordic and, well, it is.

barwa brązowo-pomarańczowa, bardzo zmętnione z farfoclami przy dnie, piany nie ma w ogóle;
wyraźny kwaśny - kiszona cytryna i dziki - stara skóra, stodoła;
ciało średnie ku niskiemu, wysoko nasycone, finisz kwaśny;
kwaśno-gorzki, bardzo kwaśne wiśnie, cytryna, dzikie nuty, drewno, skóra, po długim czasie (chyba na skutek tego kwasu) w ustach czuć słodycz;

Pours a beautiful shade of chestnut, with about 1/2" of soft head leaving nice light lacing. Very complex aroma - slightly acidic, but much more funk, with lots of oak tannins. The flavor was unbalanced - way too oaky! Tastes like my first attempt at making a sour when I left the oak stave in too long. An interesting taste experience, but not an overall pleasant one. Could have been much more sour!

Warka nr 521 Piany praktycznie brak, poza pojedynczymi grubymi bablami. Metne jak woda w kaluzy. Aromat dominuje zapach stajenny, funky. Intensywny, przyjemny. W smaku wytrawne. Kwas ?redni w stron? wysokiego. Beczka wychodzi g?ównie w postaci taninicznsoci, ale czuc drewno tez lekko w smaku. Derka w smaku wciaz motywem przewodnim. Jest nieco gryzace. Owocow nie czuc wcaaale. Mimo to nie?le.
