COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
HaandBic is our first beer in the style of a fruit iambic with added red currents and Lingonberry. We have naturally also added a lambic style yeast blend incl bacteria and yeast of different types. Then this concoction has been aged in oak barrels for almost 18 months. The beer gets its tartness from both berries and the concoction we added. It will most certainly develop further given time

bottle... bit of confusing color, looks like fruit juice, dark dirty red, very watery light tan head leaves a bubbly ring... this smells pretty fantastic, I’m quite shocked, tart fruits, cranberry, wonderful fresh oak, medium tartness, very well rounded... the taste is a bit of a let down as its not as bursting with flavor and bit watery but still good, light farm funk, more really nice oak, a bit buttery but still enjoyable... worth having

@ Haand festival. Pour hazy reddish, with no head. Aroma of slightly sour grapefruit, vinegar, and sour berries. Slight funk as well. Taste a little sour. Quite mellow in my opinion. Average body, with an average carb.

500mL thanks to Travlr. Pours hazy deep amber with bubbles. Low to no carbonation. Nose is actually quite nice- richer red cherry, Baked red cherry. Taste is lighter, mildly lactic, some lemon tea. Quite neutral and refreshing. No acetic heat I was expecting. Quite simple in profile. Refreshing. Successful. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50 cl courtesy of Travlr. Pours cloudy reddish amber, no head. Aroma is really nice with a delicious mix of wild yeast and red berries. Oak, vanilla, leathery and barnyard notes, all very balanced. The berry component is especially well integrated, spicy, wild and sweet, reminds me a bit of rhubab. The taste is just as nice, sweet red berries, a bit of wild yeast and bacteria, and the same nice red berry qualities. Not very tart, but just enough to make it balanced and interesting. Very good!

from Erzbierschof - cloudy dark red-amber beer with a poor head retention; aroma of red fruits, chewy malts and bretts; medium-bodied, very dry and with a respectable bitterness; long fruity and sourish finish

Disparate white head over veiled, deep foxy-red beer. Brettanomyces, leather, old socks; fruity, red berries and lemon. Very lambic-y indeed, but not quite... Dry, tart, and fruity. Wow, the flavours are spot-on, even if the finish has just a touch of red fruit jam. Still, mainly acidic, and also vinous. Warming up, something spîcy, like Christmas decoration on pine. Light body, just a tad watery; mild acidburn, long-lasting flavours. Nice, convincing enough. Could live with this.

Rating #500. Bottle from ACBF. Pours dark brown/orange, with nearly no head, and some grainy sediment. Aroma is a combination of lactic acids and barrel touches. Taste is still a bit sweet, works well for the balance, think it has aging potential also. Palate is quite mellow, better than expected for a wild yeast ale. Overall an interesting brew. But not the most suprising aroma’s.
