Bottle. Hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is grainy with flowers and mildly funky cider. Fairly light bodied, highish carbonation. Not as apple-ly as suggested by the aroma, but certainly there. Also apricots, dough, spices. Dryish finish with moderate bitterness. Refreshing, quite engaging.

500ml bottle, batch 689, many thanks to OleR. Pours a pale golden body. Diminishing white head leaving lacing rings down the glassware. Moderate aromas of grass and earth, lightly spiced. Spiced dried fruity taste, including apples and apricot. A little yeasty fruitiness to the finish. Medium bodied. Masked alcohol. Alright, maybe a little unvaried (shared with Elisabeth and Stefan, Tromsø 20.09.2014).

Bottle (50cl) from Vinmonopolet, Oslo. Half-inch ’transparent’ white head, reducing quickly to an uneven film and quite a bit of lacing. Hazy pale orange colour. Dry, fruity and spicy aroma with pear, yellow apple, banana, grass, yeast, pepper. Body is medium, carbonation is average/lively. Taste is fruity and quite sweet upfront, and quickly turns dry and more tart, before finishing very dry indeed. Tongue-drying aftertaste of unripe fruit.

Flaske 500ml på Skarven. Lys gyldenbrungul. Høyt skinnende hvitt skum med kremkarakter. Aroma av gress med innslag av krydder. Smaken er skogsbær på en bakgrunn av samme krydder. Smaken holder seg lenge. Litt tynn & monoton.

Golden with white head. Aroma is acidic, some estery tones, cider. Taste is estery, fresh apple, some sourness, some citrus. Ok carbonation. Like cider but for me a nice beer.

My Bottom Line:
White grapes, apple cider and citrus fruit ride this brew’s prickly bubbling into herbal hop bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A fluffy head of foam tops the hazy pale straw.
-Mouthfeel is dryish and drinkability quite high.
-This may not be the most memorable Haandbryggeriet brew, but it remains very agreeable.
-The fruit character is not caricatural and thus becomes pleasant.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a slightly hazy golden body with a small white head. Nose is heavy Belgian sweet esters with banana, straw, bubble gum and hints of pale malts and coconut (!). Taste is pale malts, cider, straw, saison yeast and hints of banana and white bubble gum. Medium body and carbonation. Quite nice; the apple cider-ish tones play gently with the saison yeast, but still it doesn’t quite rock my world.
