Pours a hazy yellow, with a formidable, fluffy white head that stays for a long time and leaves a nice lacing. The aromas on the nose are lively and fruity, the most prominent notes being grapefruits and hops. The aroma in the mouth is mostly dominated by hops, with a spicy tinge and some pale malts, and a slightly metallica aroma too. The taste is very bitter, and the palate is allover average and anonymous. The Humlesus has an intriguing fruity aroma, but the overall taste is simply too bitter for my taste.

One of the best smelling Norwegian beers I’ve tried so far. Also a great taste with a lot of bitterness

My Bottom Line:
Bright tropical fruit and citrus fruit aromas pervade this super drinkable Session IPA.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A cushy head of foam sits atop the clear straw blond.
-Hops are more aromatic than bitter.
-Delicate herbal notes accompany the fruitiness.
-Flavor rendering is clean and well defined.

It could be great Session IPA, or American Pale Ale, whatever you call it. Aroma full of tropical fruits including mango and pineapple, some herbal, floral notes, great. Taste is similar, with nice malt profile, a bit of caramel. It is all great but carbonation is too high, it is not as drinkable as it could be, it dissapointed me. Anyway it is very good, refreshing and tasty but in the end it starts to bore me and its getting hard to drink because of high carbo.

Nice cloudy gold. Not much head but a silky lace on the sides of the glass. A very fresh beer that coats your mouth. Finishes with a nice blast of subtle hops. Really well balanced. A great session beer.
