Bottle at Haandverkerstuene, september 21st 2012. Cloudy ruby/orange body, small offwhite head. Aroma of cranberries and strawberries, wood, funk and clove. Taste is acidic with berries, spices and wood. Coming after a while is a citrus taste blending in with cherries. Pretty awesome taste actually. Woody and sour berry finish.

Cloudy amber beer, short lived off white head. Fruity nose, mildly sour and a little floral. Crispy palate, semi dry. Pretty sour when very cold it mellows as it warms. Interesting fruit. A little sherbetty. Whisper of smoke. Slight medicinal note. Semi dry finish. Crowberries are different and this is unusual!

500ml bottle. Pours a murky chestnut amber, with a tiny and rapidly fading off-white head, which leaves no lacing. Sour funky notes, some sweeter woodiness and an astringent fruit smell make up the aroma. It is quite strongly sour up front, with a sweeter, woody balsamic vinegar flavour coming in to moderate that a little. There is an astringent, slightly bitter fruity flavour, which I assume to be crowberries, coming into the mid-palate. It finishes with a refreshing sourness. I admit that I don’t really know what I’m tasting for here, but the crowberries don’t seem to be a major feature of this beer. That said, it is a pleasant sour ale, and excellent refreshment on an incredibly hot summer evening.

(500ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) cloudy medium orange/amber with fine tan bubbles. Nose of cranberry, cherry, bit funky, barrel, light acetone. Taste of tart fresh cranberry, acetone and vinegar are in the forefront, bit of toasty caramel but the off flavors really detract. Linger is also off, chewable vitamins.

A little too flat and sour for my taste. The crow berry taste was interesting, but overall not a favorite. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Red/amber/caramel color. Small layer of bubbles. No lacing. Acetic aroma, but more of a honey acetic quality to it. Malt with a sour, fruity, peppery, tart, slightly sweet taste. Not bad, even good.

Bottle poured into glass. Thanks again to MikeLovesBeer for sharing this. Not exactly sure what crowberry is or how it’s suppose to taste but I enjoyed and I suppose that’s good enough. Not overly sour but slightly smokey, which works well here.

Bottle shared by bmanning. Thanks Ben. The beer appears a hazy dark orange color with a small head that leaves sparse lacing on the glass. The aroma offers some wild yeast, funk, fruit, malt, kiwi. Abundant sourness in the flavor, with some tart citrus and stone fruits. Mild tannins with some citrus and a slightly acetic finish. Light to medium bodied with solid carbonation. Overall, a decent beer and one worth trying. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-08-2012
