Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of OleR. Pours a clear reddish amber with an off-white head. Very fruity and fresh nose - slightly tart and juicy, some Brett up there too. Light body, quite tart, very fruity/spicy, some Brett. Ends dry. Very fresh and drinkable. 140712

500 ml bottle from Randall’s. Pours a clear, rich, reddish-amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma of crowberries (I get lots of berries- that’s what the label calls them), cherries, herbs, sweet malts, and plenty of juicy funk. The flavor has the same big berry character, with apples, caramel malts, lemon, and grass. Very clean. Light-bodied, with a juicy mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Dry finish. Nice berry-based sour.

Flaske 0,5 l som Rune og undertegnede fikk som gave fra OleR. Tusen takk! Delt med Rune under ratesammenkomst hos ham 21 Jun 12. Brun på farge. Lavt, svakt farget skum. Aromaen er svakt syrlig. Smaken er syrlig frukt. Behagelig syrlig ettersmak med en tørr avslutning.

500ml bottle, courtesy of OleR. Shared with Finn at a tasting session. Brown-reddish body. Bubbles to the edges of the glass. Dry and tart nose with a touch of farmyard. Mid-tart fruits and berries in flavour, some lemon with oaky dryness. Dry, tart and sweet ending. Medium bodied. Cleansing and refreshing (Tromsø, 21.06.2012).

Bottle
Appearance - Clean bronze, messy lacing
Aroma - Blackberries, vinegar, wet grass
Taste - Bitter cherries, lemongrass, tart

This was a very light drinker - most sours are a lot more intense than this one. Still a good drink... I just wished it was with cranberries (I read wrong).

I was glad to get to try this. Thanks Chipalsa. Bottle pour. Body is plain brown with a miniscule head of big clear bubbles. Aroma is of tart berries, some acidic notes, and a touch of funkiness. Taste was pleasing. I got tons of berry/strawberry notes, a touch of tartness, and some tannic qualities. The aftertaste was surprisingly fruity (berries and bananas). Overall I enjoyed this one because the tartness is reserved compared to some of the other sours I’ve had.

5000 (5000) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JUN 17, 2012
Bottle:   Dirty amber, very cloudy, thin sudsy white head, little lacing.   Unripened fruity/berry nose.   Tart on the tongue, unripened berry that is a bit non descript.   Slightly dry.   Seems like dried cranberries.   Not quite the traditional sour I thought, but still nice.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Soft, dry, semi-sweet pre ripened berries on the finish.   Its a bit like cranberries, but there is something else.   Decent tart fruity beer.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a slight ruby hue and an off white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a good amount of a tart tropical fruit note with backing sweet grains and red fruit. Flavor has a good amount of earthy tropical with a bit of yeast and backing sweet grains.

Reddish-brown color with a 2 finger off-white head that disappeared quickly. Sour cherries and barnyard funk were the most prevalent aromas I picked up. I also picked up a slight biscuity note. The taste is sour throughout and there is very little hop presence the sour mouthfeel is still there. Overall a great beer even though this is not my favorite style.
