OleR (4762) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 27, 2009
From tap@Olympen, Oslo. Firm choco head. Body is dark brown to near black, almost translucent. Dry, papery aroma of roasted dark malts, cocoa and dark chocolate. Much of the same flavorwise; dry, slight peppery, lightly roasted dark malts, with an ashy tone added. Cocoa, a hint of dark dried fruits and some earthy bittering hops underneath. Light to medium body. Powdery texture. Dry, malty bitter, cocoa-ish finish. Good stuff, high drinkabilty.

(Draught at Olympen, Oslo, 6 Nov 2009) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with dried fruit, raisins, dark bread and chocolate. Some cocoa bitterness in the finish. Slightly more than medium body, smooth and rounded mouthfeel. Very nice beer, actually.
