COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
London Porter - has a lot to offer your tastebuds, this porter includes generous amounts of chocolate malts to render a mild roasty flavour but still a nice intensity. In addition we use balanced amounts of crystal malts and flavouring hops for a good fruitiness and aroma. To be served at 9-12 degrees C. Bottle conditioned - unfiltered and unpasteurised, no artificial carbonation. (Not to be confused with the stronger Haandbryggeriet Porter.) 500ml bottle from Meny. Small tan head. Black/dark reddish brown, almost opaque body. Aroma of roasted malt, burned wood and prunes. Feels like water in the mouth. Salty, slightly bitter. Way too weak for a porter, in my opinion.

Sort med ganske brunt flott skum. Tydelig aroma av kaffe, kakao, litt lær og røyk. Lukter Haandbryggeriet. Smaken er tynn i starten, men ettersmaken er fyldigere. Smaker kakao og kaffe. Markant kullsyre. Munkegata 02.03.13.

Pours an almost completly black colour with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, light chocolate and actually some fruits maybe. Lovely smell. Flavour is a bit disappointing after the really nice aroma. Roasted malts, some sourness, some light smoke touches. Not much carbonation with a soft mouthfeel and a quite good body for just 4,7 abv beer. Overall, Ii would buy this beer again, but I love some more dept in the flavour, but I knaw thats a bit hard with just 4,7 abv.

Bottle in Oslo. Chocolate brown body with thin tan head. Nose is stout like with chocolate and roasty malts. Taste is also dark chocolate up front with caramel and chocolate in the middle, then more watery and bitter in the finish. Pretty good.
