London Porter - has a lot to offer your tastebuds, this porter includes generous amounts of chocolate malts to render a mild roasty flavour but still a nice intensity. In addition we use balanced amounts of crystal malts and flavouring hops for a good fruitiness and aroma. To be served at 9-12 degrees C. Bottle conditioned - unfiltered and unpasteurised, no artificial carbonation. (Not to be confused with the stronger Haandbryggeriet Porter.) Pours a slightly hazy orangey-brown, and a handsome, tan head forms nicely on top, where it remains for quite a while and leaves a satisfying lacing along the edge of the glass. Aromas on the nose are very mild, and mostly non-deScript roasty malts. Aromas in the mouth are mainly hops and a mild coffee, with a nice hint of hazelnuts. The taste is slightly sweet, and with a nice, somewhat dry, finish. The mouthfeel is very soft, due to the low carbonation. Haandbryggeriets London Porter is mild, and perhaps not interesting, taste- and aroma-wise, but it is a nice session beer, and I bet it would be a great way to introduce those who prefer pale lagers to darker beers.

Aroma of burnt wood, licorice and some coffe. Taste is much of the same, but the burnt wood is even more to significant. A little bit to much I think, but its a ok+ 4,7 porter. Ofcourse a little bit watery, but thats most of all 4,7 beers.

50 cl bottle, batch #925. Black beer in the glass, no flashlight can shine through this one. Thin, tan head. Aromas of tar and red fruits, some coffee and tobacco smoke. Not much carbonation here, mouthfeel is flat and a bit thin. Flavours of dark bread, roasted malts and dark chocolate.

bottle @ home. Pours dark brown with a lasting beige head. Dry, roasted and delicate aroma of chocolate, coffee, marmalade, maltiness, flowers, caramel, some herbs and red fruits. Medium bodied, semi dry and smooth flavor. Taste of chocolate, orange marmalade, toffee, herbs, biscuits, bread. Dry finish with fruity coffee and some ash and nuts. Balanced bitterness. A Nicely balanced classic porter, with perhaps a bit of a short taste duration.

Dark brown, rich and durable beige head. Nicve roasty aroma with some chocolate. Taste is crips, sour-sweet and roasty. According to my experience, one of very few drinkable beers available when Vinmonopolet is closed or far away.

0,5l bottle. BBD 12.1.2016. Batch 832. Extremely tall caramel head. Black. Aroma of yeast and licorice. Slightly metallic. Flavour is a solid porter. Licorice, malt, and slightly astringent. It is highly carbonated, more than expected. All in all, this is a good porter.
