London Porter - has a lot to offer your tastebuds, this porter includes generous amounts of chocolate malts to render a mild roasty flavour but still a nice intensity. In addition we use balanced amounts of crystal malts and flavouring hops for a good fruitiness and aroma. To be served at 9-12 degrees C. Bottle conditioned - unfiltered and unpasteurised, no artificial carbonation. (Not to be confused with the stronger Haandbryggeriet Porter.) Pours a slightly hazy orangey-brown, and a handsome, tan head forms nicely on top, where it remains for quite a while and leaves a satisfying lacing along the edge of the glass. Aromas on the nose are very mild, and mostly non-descript roasty malts. Aromas in the mouth are mainly hops and a mild coffee, with a nice hint of hazelnuts. The taste is slightly sweet, and with a nice, somewhat dry, finish. The mouthfeel is very soft, due to the low carbonation. Haandbryggeriets London Porter is mild, and perhaps not interesting, taste- and aroma-wise, but it is a nice session beer, and I bet it would be a great way to introduce those who prefer pale lagers to darker beers.

Nesten helt svart med massivt lysbrunt skum. Ristet malt dominerer lukten sammen med noe kaffe og litt fruktighet. Kaffe og mørk sjokolade i smaken med en fin og tørr bitterhet mot slutten. Over gjennomsnittet med kullsyre.

Pours deep dark brown with a tan head that slowly but never quite disappears. Aroma is chocolate and lactose. Mouthfeel is medium but slightly creamy. Flavour of milk chocolate, some roasted malts, and a half-dry lactic finish with some coffee notes. Decent porter.

Black with big creamy beige head, looks great. Light fruity, smoke, roasted malts, some ash and espresso. Light dry taste with just a light sweet touch and clean and fruity bitter finish. Light to medium bodied with light creamy feel. Nice fruity porter.

Bottle from the Mini Pris in downtown Alesund. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy broken light tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, toffee caramel, coffee, grassy hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a light grass hop pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A superb flavour packed beer. More like a black IPA than a porter for me though.
