Bottled. Amber coloured. unclear. Dense light brown head. Aroma of butter, light grape and sourness, fruits light notable. Flavour of butter, grape and fruits. Definately over the top. medium bodied. Dry sour buttery end.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel hoppy flavor with some spicy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Amber colored brew. Fruity, vinous, woody aroma. Flavor has sweetness and some bitterness, mandarin, cherries, yeast, oak. Ok.

De botella. Bit unclear amber red colour with a fair medium look, off-white head, poor lacing. Fruity sweet caramel malty aroma, quite pleasant. Good filling mouthfeel. Flavour has well toasted caramel and malt, (darkish) fruit, medium hoppy bitternes, some alcohol noticed and towards the end slight acid like (beginning of an infection. Sweet caramel malty finish with some bitterness.

Botled. Aroma has wine, bit wood, caramel, raisin, some citric hops. Hazy, amber coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is moderate sweet, little bitter, has raisin, caramel, citrus, some orange, some dust yeast, some oak. Well bodied. Nice.

Clear brown of color with a beige head. An aroma of caramel, bread, bisquit, raisins and weak hops. A flavor of bread, malt, caramel and weak bitterness.

Bottle. High creamy and lasting off-white head. Hazy dark red brown body. Vineous roasted barley malt dried fruit caramel aroma. Powerful roasted malt sour berries flavor with caramel alcohol and pepper as well as a fair amount of hops bitterness. Low carbonation. Long bitter aftertaste.

Denna barley wine har en ganska ljus vätska – nästan lite rödaktig färg. Doften är mycket bärig och består mestadels av en ganska distinkt doft av jordgubbe. Smaken är “tjock”, men snäll. Mycket röda bär, kanske en aning söt. Några spår efter de 10,7 % som skal ligga i flaskan hittar jag inte alls, och ölen är mycket enkel och lättdruckit. Saknar kanske lite hetta och bett i den.

500 ml bottle, UK style barleywine, vintage 2008, kindly shared by my beerpal Christian. ABV is 10.6%. Beautiful ruby colour, big off-white to beige head. Strong vinous and oaky aroma, notes of dark dried fruits and caramel. Sweet flavour but not extreme, notes of dark dried fruits and oak again, hoppy bitterness in the finish. A good beer from the (now sadly defunct) Danish HaandBryggeriet.

0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Reddish brown color. Sweet aroma of dark caramel with red currant and yeast. The flavors of dark caramel, spicy bitterness and cheap dessert wine. There is dull yeast aroma and flavor.
